According to analysts Garter, Huawei is the third largest smartphone maker in the world, with an eight percent market share in the fourth quarter of previous year, during which period it sold around 32 million smartphones. Huawei’s new B3 Talkband wearable wristband also made its global debut.

Deploying Huawei’s Hybrid Focus technology, the P9 captures images with superior speed, accuracy and stability. The device has been appearing all over the Internet and coupling it with the recent advertisements, we’re pretty sure we know what to expect.

Inside, Huawei is using its own Kirin 950 processor aka, which is the most powerful at their disposal.

We’ll have more on pricing, availability and specs as the event unfolds.

When is the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus’ UK release date?

There’s USB-C for data transfer and charging as well as a 3000mAh battery (on the P9) and 3400mAh batttery (on the P9 Plus) and up to 128GB microSD support.

They come backed with 32GB of storage onboard as standard, or you could choose the 64GB option. This is apparently not needed thanks to 1.25-micron pixel sensors and that monochrome one that’s able to absorb more light. So we’re not dealing with a battery behemoth like the Mate 8, but Huawei still promises a day and a half of heavy use from the P9’s internal cell, and the numbers are there to back up this assertion.

It packs 4GB RAM, 64GB storage (again, expandable) and a 3,400mAh battery. But what can we expect? And it also beats out those devices for slimness, Huawei said, at just 6.95mm compared to the Galaxy S7 at 7.9mm and the iPhone 6S at 7.1mm. However, while the Leica branding is featured on the phones, that doesn’t mean the cameras were manufactured by the renowned German company – instead they “co-engineered” the lenses. The Sony sensor within is not the best choice, but the OIS the company added should help with the low-end micron sizing as well as blur, noise and motion. At the front, the phone offers an 8MP selfie camera. Considering tomorrow’s launch of the Huawei P9, it’s entirely possible that the device which Huawei will launch here in the country later in 2016 could be a U.S. model of the phone, but it’s also entirely possible that Huawei could have been referring to a completely different flagship model as there were no details given about the device whatsoever, and there is no mention of timing, meaning that if a United States flagship launches in the winter this year, the P9 will already be quite old.
