Charlie Sheen under criminal investigation by Los Angeles police
Celebrity website RadarOnline.com and the National Enquirer on Thursday refused to hand over material sought by authorities investigating threats that the two related media outlets reported actor Charlie Sheen made against a former girlfriend.

The magazine’s parent company, American Media Inc., said in a statement to NBC News that it believes the warrant “violates federal and state law prohibiting the use of search warrants against media companies who are reporting news and information”.
The lawyer, Marty Singer, said Rossi obtained a restraining order without Sheen or his attorney being notified.

The pair quickly grew close, and Sheen proposed to Rossi just a few months after meeting her during a trip to Hawaii over Valentine’s Day in 2014.
