Pennsylvania poll: Trump, Clinton lead rivals

Voters will head to Pennsylvania on April 26: A large number of delegates, 71, are at stake on the Republican side, but the state’s complex system for allocating delegates means that only 17 will be up for grabs on primary day.

So far, Clinton is leading the Democratic Party race with 1,742 votes against Sanders. The first candidate to 2,383 secures the nomination. Citing polls showing him outpacing Mrs. Clinton in head-to-head matchups with GOP front-runner Donald Trump, Mr. Sanders said in his speech at the dinner: “There is one campaign that has created an enormous amount of excitement and enthusiasm”. Sanders’ adviser Tad Devine defended the Vermont senator’s ties to the Democratic Party Wednesday. Three-quarters say Clinton has realistic policies, more than the two-thirds who say that of Sanders.

The exit polls were conducted by Edison Research for The Associated Press and television networks.

The two candidates also agreed Monday to another debate, on April 14 in New York City, ending protracted and sometimes contentious negotiations about when and where they would share a stage again.

Anticipating a tough night Tuesday, Mrs. Clinton has dropped in and out of Wisconsin in recent days.

If Sanders had labeled himself an independent instead of a democratic socialist, he would be our next president.

Even so, Clinton also isn’t letting Wyoming go unnoticed.
