Priyanka Chopra finds similarities in Quantico and The Jungle Book

“The Jungle Book” seamlessly blends live-action with photorealistic CGI animals and environments, using up-to-the-minute technology and storytelling techniques to immerse audiences in an enchanting and lush world. However, when sinister tiger Shere Khan (Idris Elba) makes it clear he wants to kill Mowgli, the boy reluctantly leaves his home to find his own kind, before running into a charismatic, laid-back bear named Baloo (Bill Murray).

“I’ve always loved children and I’ve been fantasizing about motherhood since I was like about three”, Nyong’o said at the film’s press junket on Tuesday.

It features Indian-American child artist Neel Sethi, and will make its way onto the screens in India on Friday – a week before its release in the USA, where too the movie has been given a PG (Parental Guidance) rating.

Misstepping only with the awkward placement of Christopher Walken as King Louie, of all the cast Sethi succeeds best in bringing the cartoon and classic story to life in a surprisingly skilled performance and casting choice that was worth the thousands of auditions. All of the animals are computer-animated, appearing lifelike.

Filled with enthusiasm and fearlessness, Sethi is a great choice as Mowgli. The director, along with his team of technicians, does a fabulous job of creating a world where even the adult can lose himself/herself in.

“I’m the kind of person, if I’m walking with a parent and their child, I’m the one who’s anxious about the child getting out of line”, she admitted. She really is the heart and soul of the central relationship with Mowgli.

Stand-up comedian Atul Khatri shared: “Are you sending your 12-year-old alone to watch movies in theatres in India?” This Disney version is well known to us, and the likes of King Louie, Kaa and Baloo all appear once the chase is on.
