The company is recalling Kroger Ground Cinnamon, Kroger Garlic Powder, Kroger Coarse Ground Black Pepper and Kroger Bac’n Buds sold in its retail stores.

Due to possible Salmonella contamination, Kroger has recalled some of its store-brand spices.
Other affected groups in the Kroger system include Jay C, Dillons, King Soopers, Fry’s, Fred Meyer, Ralphs, Food 4 Less and Smiths.
Out of “an abundance of caution”, Kroger has recalled all four seasonings produced on the same equipment in the same facility. The 17.1 ounce black pepper has the UPC 1111070041 with sell by dates May 18 18PS4 and May 19 18PS4.
In the recall dated July 27, 2015; the Kroger website lists that the products may be contaminated with Salmonella and, if eaten, could result in severe illness. Also recalled is Kroger Garlic Powder in 24.7 ounce packages with UPC number 1111070039 and sell by date May 18 17PS4. Kroger Bac’n Buds with a UPC of 1111070025 and a sell by date of May 20, 2018.
The company has asked customers who purchased the products to return them to a store for a refund or replacement.
The recall affects a number of stores in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Kentucky, North Carolina, West Virginia, Texas and Louisiana.
