Sanders beats Hillary, Cruz thumps Trump in Wisconsin

If she’s the only person who appears to be winning the nation over, people will naturally vote for her. Republican favored Fox News will sculpt any story that attacks Clinton and the “radical idea” of Democratic Social ideals of Bernie Sanders.

Even with wins in Wisconsin, Cruz and Sanders still face tough mathematical odds of winning their parties nominations before the summer conventions. On Long Island and in New York City, 22 percent of voters say they’ll vote for the OH governor.

Skeptics were ready with sobering responses, which former Obama senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer summarized pretty perfectly in a single tweet.

That’s the bottom line, and there is plenty of evidence to support the argument that intangibles such as narrative, momentum and expectations – which are often dictated or at least facilitated by the media – are overrated.

“The core of his campaign has been break up the banks, and it didn’t seem in reading his answers that he understood exactly how that would work under Dodd-Frank, exactly who would be responsible, what the criteria were”, Clinton said on MSNBC. Larsen did not have time to discuss the issue as of press time, but I am sure we will all be interested to hear more specifics on why he is going against the grain; perhaps his reasons would give us some piece of mind. “And we don’t need any lessons on getting things done in Congress from someone who didn’t pass a single amendment by a roll call vote during her entire career in the Senate”. At all? That’s going too far. He is a Democratic Socialist, which is quite different than an actual Socialist. But he still trails her in the pledged delegate count and has so far been unable to persuade superdelegates – the party officials who can back any candidate – to drop their allegiance to the former secretary of state and back his campaign.

Expectations also might be the single biggest factor in evaluating presidential debate performances. They allow interviewers to more vigorously challenge candidates on specific points of interest to voters.

Instead, her campaign is escalating their attacks in hopes of a decisive win in NY and assembling an “all but insurmountable” delegate lead by the end of the month.

With a double-digit victory in the Badger State, Sanders has now won seven out of the last eight primary contests. Clinton led among those age 45 and older.

To date, Sanders has won 16 contests to Hillary’s 20. In total they’ve made more than 6 million contributions.

While the Clinton campaign may have once thought her bid for the nomination would be wrapped up by now, Sanders isn’t showing any signs of stepping off the gas any time soon.

Undaunted by the latest Trump controversies, 52 percent of likely Republican primary voters in Trump’s home state say they will back the developer in New York’s April 19 primary, compared to 25 percent for Ohio Gov. John Kasich and 17 percent for Texas Sen. Yet Sanders’ continued presence in the race has become an irritant for Clinton, keeping her from turning her attention to the general election.

Yet Sanders continues to run as if the nomination were in striking distance. “They know Hillary. They know her record”. “Momentum is that within the last couple of weeks there have been national polls that have showed us one point up or one point down”. Ted Cruz (R-TX) celebrates with his wife Heidi at the American Serb Hall Banquet Center after the polls closed on April 5, 2016 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

There’s a bit of a chicken-and-egg question here. His big victory netted him 10 delegates – but Clinton still holds a big lead in all-important delegate math. Which, of course, is what (mostly) determines the delegate math.
