Los Angeles police have confirmed Charlie Sheen is under investigation, amid reports the actor threatened his ex-fiancee. Los Angeles police said Wednesday, April 6, 2016, that detectives are investigating Sheen in response to a criminal report filed last week and have obtained a search warrant.

Radar Online said the affidavit for the search warrant relied heavily on a statement Ross made to police, in which she claimed that Sheen regularly subjected her to physical assaults and death threats when they lived together.
A representative for Sheen didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.
Ludwig could not share any information about the investigation or any details about who brought the accusation against Sheen to the LAPD, but the lawyer of Sheen’s former fiancé confirmed that he was being investigated for threatening his client’s life. “I’d rather spend 20 grand to have her head kicked in”, he added, the New York Daily News reports.
The goal of the tapes was to reveal that Sheen, despite what he previously told Matt Lauer on Today, lied to his sexual partners about his HIV status.

In March 2011, two sons had been court-ordered removed from Sheen’s home after his ex-wife got a judge to grant her a stay-away order against the actor.

His former fiancée Scottine Ross filed a lawsuit in December accusing him of assault, battery, false imprisonment and failure to disclose to her that he was HIV-positive.
Celebrity website RadarOnline.com and the National Enquirer tabloid on Thursday refused to hand over material sought by authorities investigating threats that those media reported actor Charlie Sheen had made against a former girlfriend.

The investigation marks the latest upset for the hard-living 50-year-old who, last year acknowledged he had been diagnosed as HIV-positive four years earlier and was being extorted for more than $10 million to keep the diagnosis quiet.
