Meek Mill: Drake’s track dissing him is ‘soft’

According to Bleacher Report, Drake showed up and played over the weekend at a kickball charity tournament, showing he was unfazed by Meek Mill’s taunts that he uses a ghostwriter for his tracks. Other rap world luminaries weighed in as well, including longtime Drake collaborator Noah “40” Shebib, who rose to his man’s defense, and DJ Funkmaster Flex, who’s apparently lost his mind.

The reference to featuring refers to Drake’s appearance on Meek Mill’s song “R.I.C.O”.

WARNNIG: The song contains coarse language. After his initial tweet, Meek Mill decided to go further and say that everyone in the music industry knows that Drake does not write his own raps.

Minaj and Drake are labelmates on Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment banner.

The Toronto rapper also reportedly made a remark targeted at Meek Mill’s girlfriend Nicki Minaj. As Meek starts loading his own cannons, do you think Drake’s reply put the issues and week that was in its place? God is watching. I just hope you’re prepared to face him.

Later, in an apparent shot at Mill’s relationship with the more successful Minaj, Drake says, “No women ever had me star struck/Or was able to tell me to get my bars up”. In a new Tumblr post, however, Miller denies claims he ghostwrote lyrics for Drake. “He’s also a musician and a producer and a creator…There’s countless number ones and songs Drake has written for others never mind himself, that’s the amusing part lol!” he wrote.

He tweeted: “This nigga SB was twerking mannnnnnnn…i always thought u was gay letting Ya girl do all that shit with niggas while yall where together!”

In a direct message conversation with rapper Hitman Holla on Instagram, Drake slyly responded to the allegations by writing, “I signed up for greatness”.
