Sanders Wins Wyoming Caucus Over Clinton

Though Clinton maintains a commanding lead in delegates, Sanders has scored victories in smaller states, including in Wisconsin on Tuesday, and continues to draw large crowds.

During a televised interview, Clinton said Republicans are living in a world of “fantasy and hope” if they think she’ll be indicted over her use of a private email server while serving as secretary of state. Thanks to the help of thousands of volunteers, Hillary is winning the popular vote by almost 2.4 million and has a nearly insurmountable lead in pledged delegates that will become harder and harder to overcome after each contest.

Clinton, who appeared with Cuomo on Monday, the day he signed the bill, said earlier on Saturday that the way NY pass a the minimum wage is an example of “how a piece of consequential legislation actually gets passed”.

Bernie Sanders’ win in Wyoming isn’t yielding much in delegates.

Steeped in conservative cowboy culture but proud of being the first state to grant women the right to vote, Wyoming is a heavily Republican state where more than 140,000 residents are registered with the GOP, compared with about 41,000 registered Democrats. But that didn’t stop both Clinton and Sanders from setting up campaign offices and running television ads there.

The Vermont senator won 56 percent of the Wyoming vote to 44 percent for Clinton, CNN projected, with most ballots counted.

It’s the latest in a string of victories for Sanders in Western states that hold caucuses.

If Cruz wins most or all of the Colorado delegates, it increases the odds of a contested convention this summer. A fundraising email sent out shortly after from Christina Reynolds, the Clinton campaigns deputy communications director, said Sanders had “crossed a line, ” calling it a “ridiculous and irresponsible attack.”. Brooklyn, where the Clinton campaign has its headquarters, has five times as many potential voters as all of Wyoming. As a result, caucus locations have been changed in multiple counties to accommodate greater numbers of voters. Recent polls have shown Clinton more than ten points ahead in the state.

Speaking in the loft space in a heavily Hispanic neighborhood, Clinton also reiterated her support for the DREAM Act and a path to citizenship.

Hillary Clinton has been drawing lopsided support from minorities in the Democratic primaries and caucuses, and Sanders is trying to reverse that trend.

“I will caucus for Hillary”. Bernie’s message and his authenticity appeals to voters here, and it appeals to me.

Asked if Sanders regretted the choice of words, Weaver said the campaign had meant “qualified in the sense of “disqualified” as opposed to ‘unqualified'”.
