Upon seeing the article based on the recording, Ross – who sometimes goes by the name of Brett Rossi – made a decision to contact police.

Back in December, Ross filed a lawsuit against Sheen in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Rossi claimed to have only learned last week that there is a recording of Sheen speaking on the phone with an unidentified individual, issuing threats against her. The audio was originally obtained by the National Enquirer.

She said she had endured physical assaults and death threats during her time living with Sheen, an affidavit said, according to Radar.

The search warrant was served to “senior editors” at radar online, the website reported.

Father-of-five Sheen split with her in 2014 after a year-long relationship.

Rossi first filed a lawsuit against Sheen in 2015, alleging he had not disclosed his HIV-positive status to her while they were dating.

There was no immediate comment from Sheen’s lawyer and publicist.

“This piece of s- needs to be f–ing buried”, Sheen allegedly said of Ross. I’d rather spend 20 grand to have her head kicked in.

On the tape, which was reportedly recorded by one of Sheen’s former lovers, the actor also allegedly admits that he lied to the woman about his HIV status.

Meanwhile, another officer the news outlet talked to on the said day refused to confirm if the report against Charlie Sheen was indeed made by his ex-fiancé, Scottine Ross, also known as Brett Rossi. The Threat Management Unit – which supervises investigations involving aggravated threats of violence and stalking, workplace violence, and all threats directed to Los Angeles city officials – are now the lead detectives in the investigation.

The former star of Two and Half Men and films including Wall Street and Platoon admitted his history of drink and drug abuse was a “bad decision” but said it was “impossible” he would have passed HIV on to anyone else.

Sheen recently requested that child support payments to his four young children with ex-wives Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller be reduced, citing changed financial circumstances.
