Sanders has racked up eight wins in the last nine contests and was joined on stage by singer and civil rights icon Harry Belafonte and Erica Snipes, the daughter of Eric Garner.

Bernie Sanders continues to reduce defecits in polls in the lead up to crucial primary elections.

“News bulletin: We just won Wyoming”, Sanders said as the room exploded into cheers.

After a standing ovation, he joked that there are probably more people at his event than live in Wyoming.

Clinton told a rally Saturday in Brooklyn, New York, that she wants to “send a strong message” in the April 19 primary and start unifying the Democratic Party. Cruz is trying to block Trump from receiving enough delegates to win the nomination outright, which would lead to a contested convention in July.

The victory means Sanders has now won 16 states, compared to Clinton’s 18. Organizers also counted 387 surrogate ballots, with 262 for Sanders and 125 for Clinton.

Sanders leads Clinton by 10 percentage points among independent voters likely to vote in the Democratic primary. These are the states which haven’t given their electoral votes to a Democrat since 1964.

The Democratic Party requires 2,383 delegates and/or super-delegates to clinch the nomination. ‘He made his comments and there was no basis for them. “It’s always nice, but the reality is that ever since Wisconsin, when that became the sixth out of seven states that we have won in either caucuses or primaries, I think the Clinton campaign has made it public, basically, they have told the media that here in NY, they’re about to become very negative, about to beat us up”. And people have never warmed there to Clinton or even to her husband, the former president. “We are grateful to our supporters who know that Hillary Clinton would be the best candidate to break down the barriers that hold Americans back”.

Still, Sanders seized on the remarks at a rally that night, telling a crowd of thousands that Clinton has been saying that hes “not qualified to be president.”.

But on Saturday, Clinton appeared to indicate that she wanted a $15 federal minimum wage.

“Her plan is to have a billion solar panels by the end of her first term in this country”, said Bailey. Although, it sure does seem like more people than ever are feeling the Bern.

In an appearance before Jewish Republicans in Las Vegas later that day, Cruz warned of a “bloodbath” for the GOP if Trump were the nominee and said control of Congress and the balance of the Supreme Court could be at risk. Meanwhile, Donald Trump visited the September 11th Museum in Lower Manhattan where he donated $100,000 in an unannounced trip.
