After Saturday’s Wyoming caucus, the Democratic nominating contest turns to NY state on April 19, where 291 delegates are on offer.
Bernie Sanders’ wife interrupted his remarks at a campaign rally in NY with news of his latest victory: Wyoming.
“I believe we have an excellent chance to win NY and a lot of delegates in that state”, Sanders said in Laramie.
The Wyoming vote was a draw from a delegate perspective: Sanders and Clinton each picked up seven. “Not only did he not do that, he only netted two delegates, if that”. And, with a little bit of luck, we are going to win tomorrow in Wyoming. Mr Trump cited the courage of New Yorkers post 9/11 in hopes the comments would boomerang on the Texas Senator.

In Wyoming, Democrats in 23 counties caucused. He said it was unrealistic to expect the state’s Republican governor and Legislature to support the program.
Awaiting results from the Wyoming Democratic caucus voting, state Democratic Party Executive Director Aimee Van Cleave says she’s gotten reports of a “really good” turnout Saturday across the state. “They’re not being stopped by an early spring blizzard”. Either will need 2,383 delegates to win the nomination. “So with your help, with your energy, we can win this thing”.
Last week, the primaries in Wisconsin dealt a setback to the frontrunners of both the Republican and Democratic parties, Donald Trump and Clinton, with Senator Ted Cruz and Sanders emerging victorious.
Campaigning in New York City Saturday, Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders invoked his Judaism as a basis for his understanding of racial injustice. But that didn’t stop both Clinton and Sanders from setting up campaign offices and running television ads there.
Clinton responded with a desire for unity – to a point.

“You’d have to ask him”, Clinton said about whether Sanders would have said the same about a male candidate.
