Considered two of the best in the business, Cena and Rollins turned in a good match that was complicated by the fact that Cena suffered a gruesome broken nose midway through the match.

John Cena suffered a broken nose – for real – during his match with Seth Rollins on “RAW” Monday night. During the match he was hit by a knee on the faceby seth. Cena immediately crashed down to the canvas under the bottom turnbuckle, clutching his face.

A video of the Rollins knee is below with the strike taking place at the 1:05 mark in the video, with a replay shown soon after. Cena might have to wear a mask for a little bit and/or refrain from his U.S. title open challenge for a few weeks before SummerSlam, but he’s competed through worse, including a torn triceps leading into SummerSlam 2013. They ended up having a fantastic main event match that Cena won with the STF submission hold.

WWE.com confirmed the injury which the WWE physician called a “nasal fraction”.

As is also well known, noses should not bend that way.

JOHN Cena has long been known as one of the toughest competitors in the WWE. I did those things. “A week ago, I named my mid-season WWE all-star team”.

He just might be ours, too.
