This year’s theme is serving victims, building trust, restoring hope. It’s important for everyone to come out, statistically, everyone is going to know someone who is a victim of some type of crime specifically domestic violence and sexual assault.
“As we continue to display compassion and commitment to all victims of crimes, we must never forget that the community and family members of victims are victims too”, Police Chief James Craig said in a released statement.
National Crime Victims’ Rights Week is meant to honor the security of rights, protections, and services provided for all victims of crime.
This week people across our area will take time to remember victims of crime. The film, “Voices of Napa County”, features interviews of local individuals who work to help victims as well as some of the victims themselves.
The film will be shown on Monday at 5:30 p.m.in the Cyber Café at New Technology High School, 920 Yount St.in Napa.
