Tesla says it’s recieved 325000 Model 3 pre-orders
A Tesla Model 3 hatchback could just become as popular as the sedan but the question remains – Will Tesla consider it? I dig the nose on the Model 3 a lot, in fact it’s what draws me to the auto, but CNET said it won’t be “exactly” like that.

The Tesla Model S showed the world that electric cars didn’t have to be slow or ugly but it’s getting a little long in tooth.
The numbers are phenomenal and the hype alone suggest that Model 3 will be the most popular all-electric saloon vehicle to date. Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has risen 6.57% since August 31, 2015 and is uptrending.
The forthcoming Model 3 electric sedan will be Tesla’s mass-market auto, which will come with a price tag of $35,000. The report claims that Tesla is now working through the last of its production parts from the earlier generation of Model S cars, and that we could see an announcement about the revised version as soon as next week.
However Tesla continues to face several hurdles ahead of the auto beginning production, including restrictions on where it can open stores to sell its cars.
Assuming iPhone sales slowed in the days that followed, they probably fell well short of Tesla’s full-week figure of $14 billion.
This translates to “about $14 billion in implied future sales”, Tesla noted in its blog post about the important milestone, “making this the single biggest one-week launch of any product ever”.
The company said it’s “a huge step toward a better future by accelerating the transition to sustainable transportation”.
The company thanked the people who pre-ordered and their past customers, and said: “We would write more, but we need to get back to increasing our Model 3 production plans!”

The carmaker had begun opening the reservation process up to Tesla employees and certain others affiliated with Elon Musk’s companies prior to last Thursday’s reveal, and by the time of the event that night, the tally was 115,000.
