“We’re excited to help partners like Ticketmaster sell more tickets via Facebook and to make ticket purchasing easier and faster for people”. The company has recently announced that in the coming weeks, customers will soon be able to purchase tickets from Ticketmaster directly within Facebook.

“By putting the ability to buy tickets directly within Facebook we hope that we’re going to provide a more seamless purchase experience and sell more tickets”, Ticketmaster’s vp of distributed commerce Dan Armstrong told BuzzFeed.

Popular mobile apps, like Facebook, are becoming the best way for businesses to communicate with consumers.

The joint venture also allows Facebook to offer additional features to its users.

As is typical with these referral partnerships, Ticketmaster confirmed that Facebook will be receiving the standard affiliate cut for each ticket sale made via the social platform. Also, while Ticketmaster purchases occur on Facebook, tickets must be “claimed” via Ticketmaster’s website and app. To start, the buy-on-Facebook option will be limited to a select group of general admission events.

The company included that even though the sales will be done through Facebook, the individuals who purchased tickets will have to authenticate their purchase through the website.

Of late, Facebook has been adding an increasing number of ways through which brands and companies can connect with Facebook users. The new “Buy Tickets” feature in the event pages will enable users to buy directly from Ticketmaster without being redirected to another app or site. Messenger’s vital assistant tool is another incredible way users can shop. Comments from the social media giant will be heard during the Developer’s Conference Week to be held from March 14-18 in San Francisco.
