Bayern Munich intend to open talks with their coach Pep Guardiola over extending his contract beyond next summer at some stage this year, according to their chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Qatari sports channel BeIn Sports have reported that the Catalan coach has signed a contract that will see him manager in the Premier League for the first time.
Since arriving at Bayern in 2013, Guardiola has won two league titles, the German Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup.
The Metro suggest that Louis van Gaal may test the Bundesliga’s side resolve to keep hold of the striker by making a £56.6m bid.
Nevertheless, Bayern have now made it clear that the 23-year-old is going nowhere as they remain confident he will eventually seize his chance at the Allianz Arena.
Adama scored four goals and assisted 14 in 39 appearances for Barcelona B last season, and would be the second player, after Thiago Alcantara, to follow Guardiola to Bayern.
The player’s agent has also been critical about manager Pep Guardiola’s treatment of his client.
“But I can’t imagine that Guardiola leaves for a club like Manchester City”.

It appears Rummenigge may have got the date correct, but if reports are to believed than “a club like Manchester City” is where Pep Guardiola’s future lies.
