A whopping 69 percent of Americans have an unfavorable view of Republican leader Donald Trump, and just 26 percent have a favorable opinion. With weeks left, candidates sadly seem to be arguing less over the issues than the intricacies of each state’s nomination process.

Sanders’ popularity stands in contrast to the rest of the remaining candidates.
Geographically, Clinton is ahead of Sanders in New York City (58 percent to 39 percent) and in the suburbs (61 percent to 36 percent), but Sanders holds a one-point lead in Upstate New York (49 percent to 48 percent). Along the campaign trail – and in a town hall forum in Fairfield on Friday – Kasich has touted himself as a more moderate choice who is palatable to a wider array of voters. Still another quarter would feel at best neutral if both are nominated. Should Clinton capture the nomination, she will have to unite the party behind her candidacy – a challenge that could be made more hard if she targets him with tough attacks. Trump often wins states with a plurality of the vote, but never with an outright majority.

Sanders trails Hillary Clinton by about 700 delegates, 1,756 to 1,068, according to USA Today’s delegate tracker. It has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
