Henderson admits it may be a distraction for the boss with the occasion sure to be an emotional one, but the most important thing for him and the rest of the players is focusing on performing well and getting the best possible result.

But Klopp has revealed that he is still uncertain over his availability, but provided information which seems to indicate that the 24-year-old is nearing full fitness ahead of the campaign’s final stretch.

“Stress is the moment when I leave the bus, go into the stadium and meet every security man and each person working there who I know”, he said.

James Milner believes Liverpool’s Europa League quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund is a tie befitting of the Champions League.

Attack: The one change I do think we’ll see is the return of Roberto Firmino after he came through training this evening unscathed. “We all started playing football against our best friends when we were young and I can’t remember a moment when, because it was my best friend, I did not want to win against him”. “We haven’t prepared anything differently for this game”, Tuchel explained.

Liverpool legend John Barnes feels no English club can replicate the Reds’ dominance in the 1970s and 80s and instead has more modest targets for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Speaking to Kicker magazine in German, said Dirc Seemann, Sport1’s executive editor, said: “During the match we’ll offer our users on sport1.de a Klopp live cam. I look at my time at Mainz and I’m still happy when they win, so I think it could be the same for Jurgen with us”. They have outstanding individual quality in their squad and are extremely hard to play against.
