In a season that’s been extremely disappointing for Arsenal fans, it’s been hard for supporters to see Arsene Wenger remain loyal to underperforming players. “I don’t know”, said Wenger.
“There were one or two controversial situations in the game where I think he could have been sent off. But overall, that doesn’t mean we have to concede the goals after”, Wenger added.
“He was lucky”, said Wenger. “Since the beginning of the season we’ve had exactly the same problem, no matter who plays”.
Emenike worked tirelessly during the second half harassing the Arsenal defensive line but also got back during set pieces and made the highest number of clearances (3) in the West Ham attack.
“Do we still have an opportunity to win the title?”
“Third in the league with 59 points”. I’m disappointed we didn’t (have an answer to Andy Carroll). The second goal arrived in the 35th minute, Sanchez starting a slick Arsenal move which culminated in Iwobi lifting the ball over the West Ham defence for the Chile forward to apply the finish.
The Sunday Supplement panel discuss the form of West Ham striker Andy Carroll and whether England would benefit from his inclusion in the Euro 2016 squad.
Harry Redknapp has suggested in The Telegraph that Per Mertesacker should have started for Arsenal against West Ham United in the Premier League at the weekend. You have to look behind us, clubs are chasing us and we have to be serious and focus.

The powerful striker netted three goals either side of half time in just under 10 minutes to turn the Premier League contest on its head before Arsenal hit back to earn a 3-3 draw at the Boleyn Ground. We can talk for ages, but the summary is I am very proud of our performance. “He’s doing it, but he should be even more dedicated to stay away from those injuries for a few years because it’s a waste for West Ham and probably for England”.
