Arsene Wenger on Arsenal draw with West Ham

The draw leaves Arsenal sitting ten points adrift of leaders Leicester City with just six games remaining meaning our slim hopes of catching the Foxes are reaslisticlly over.

In a season that’s been extremely disappointing for Arsenal fans, it’s been hard for supporters to see Arsene Wenger remain loyal to underperforming players. “I don’t know”, said Wenger.

“There were one or two controversial situations in the game where I think he could have been sent off. But overall, that doesn’t mean we have to concede the goals after”, Wenger added.

“He was lucky”, said Wenger. “Since the beginning of the season we’ve had exactly the same problem, no matter who plays”.

Emenike worked tirelessly during the second half harassing the Arsenal defensive line but also got back during set pieces and made the highest number of clearances (3) in the West Ham attack.
