A spate of sunny, warm weather starts Wednesday
The National Weather Service forecast for April 13-17, 2016. The office has launched an “Aviation Decision Support” page. The low of 49 was three degrees above average. Skies will begin mostly sunny with a few extra clouds in the afternoon.

Expect another chilly night as skies remain clear. Lows in the upper 40s. Highs in the lower to mid 60s. Winds should pick up a bit more out of the southeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
It will be partly cloudy Thursday night, when the low will be 50.
Sunny skies will be over central Virginia today and it will be comfortably cool with a northeast breeze and highs in the lower to middle 60s. The more noticeable cooling will come after dark as clouds break up.
Sunday: Sunny. Highs in the mid 70s. Partly cloudy overnight with a low around 32. Though temperatures are expected to be milder than the weekend, with Monday’s high near 55 degrees.
There is a 30 percent chance of showers Wednesdays, mostly in the afternoon.
