Somewhat a bit more interesting is that numerous Action Center changes will be available for Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile, and Android.
Once the update hits, you’ll be able to interact with Cortana within Skype, and the company’s AI will also help facilitate conversations between third-party bots. To date, it remains one of the most impressive and popular features on Windows Phone even, and probably the only feature which users on other mobile operating systems really admire from Windows Phone.
There will also be a signposted Cortana collection of apps in the Windows store, signalling which apps can make the best use of Cortana’s features.
With that update, Microsoft plans to merge the Windows Store and Xbox One store into a single marketplace, though it’s unclear exactly how this will work. It’s been awhile since Microsoft tried to push the Kinect on its userbase, which proved so unwilling to adopt it. It remains to be seen how useful or wanted the Cortana functionality will be. Windows 10 now has support for native Bash with access to the Windows file system and the universe of open source command line tools.
At last night’s Microsoft Build conference, Xbox boss Phil Spencer took the stage to reveal a number of new features coming to both Xbox One and Windows 10. “Cortana can become your personal gaming assistant and help you find great new games, new challenges or tips and tricks”, says Meyerson in a Windows blog post.

While in Xbox Dev Mode, users can not run retail builds of games and apps like most devkits and will need to enter Retail Mode to return the Xbox One to its original state.
