Meizu says Pro 6 is the world’s first 10-core smartphone
The latest leaks about the Meizu Pro 6 arrived in the form of live photos, and reporting on them, SlashGear states that they revealed nearly all details about the upcoming smartphone. Anyway, the Meizu Pro 6 somes sporting a Super AMOLED screen that measures 5.2 inches, has a resolution of 1920 x 1080, and a pixel density of 424 ppi. It’s called 3D Press here. After the smartphone officially hit the shelves yesterday, the smartphone is expected to launch in India in the succeeding weeks.

That’s enough of telling you what the Pro 6 doesn’t have, as now we’ll concentrate on what it does have. This budget smartphone takes photography to a new level because of its 13-megapixel rear shooter with f/2.2 aperture, coupled with a 5-megapixel front snapper. The loud speaker of this phone is placed on the bottom of the phone, and next to it you’ll notice the USB 3.1 Type-C port. The mBack physical home key is available below the phone’s display, and acts as both the capacitive back button, and the physical home key. Those seeking additional storage can access the 128GB capacity microSD slot.
Supported by ARM’s Mali-T880MP4 GPU and 4 GB RAM, the handset sports MediaTek’s MT6797T (Helio X25) deca-core chipset that houses two Cortex-A72 cores of 2.5 GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores of 2 GHz, and another four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at a maximum 1.4 GHz. I know of one company who makes an aluminum phone with similar (or lower) specs as this one and charges over $600 for it. I won’t say any names, but at this particular company, they’ve been Cookin’ Apples for a while…
The company positioned the camera as the big draw.

Word from the rumour mills also suggested that the company is looking forward to incorporate 3D Touch tech with the Pro 6 as well but there has been no official confirmation. So, the Meizu Pro 6 with 32 GB of internal storage will be priced at 2,499 Yuan ($386), while the 64 GB version will have a price of 2,799 Yuan ($433). The Meizu PRO 6 comes in Gold, Dark Gray, Silver, Red and Rose Gold color variants.
