The Wisconsin state Assembly is scheduled to vote on approving a 0 million financing plan for a new Milwaukee Bucks arena.

At a news conference after posing for pictures with Bucks coach Jason Kidd, leading legislators from both parties said the Assembly would pass the measure later Tuesday, which would then send it for approval to Republican Gov. Scott Walker, who was pushing for a deal. It calls for $250 million in public financing and $250 million from current and former Bucks owners.
Supporters say the new arena will bring jobs to Milwaukee and help improve the economy of the state.
The arena is predicted to value $500 million to construct, with Bucks possession contributing $150 million. Under that provision, the Wisconsin Center District will get 75 percent of the ticket surcharge revenue and the state will get the remaining 25 percent.
A bipartisan vote is also expected today in the state Assembly.
The State Senate approved the public financing package for a new arena in downtown Milwaukee by a 21-10 vote.
