Trump suggests GOP is trying to derail nomination

Cruz made gains in Colorado, North Dakota, Louisiana and elsewhere by mastering the complicated state-by-state delegate selection process.

Ted Cruz said his billionaire rival Donald Trump is a bad businessman who has been surrounded by sycophants.

If Trump fails to reach the 1,237 he needs to win the nomination outright and avoid a contested convention, Cruz will have a good shot at winning the nomination after the first vote by virtue of his superior organization, which has excelled at getting his supporters elected as delegates.

In an interview with The Hill newspaper earlier in the day, Trump called the Repubican nominating process a “scam”.

Meanwhile, Cruz is fewer than 200 delegates behind, so a swing of 150 or so on the second ballot is substantial.

Democrats will vote for delegates, who will vote for their candidates at the national convention in July.

If no candidate secures a majority of the vote in the first round at the national convention, they vote again.

Announcing the results of the Republican and Democratic primaries held on March 15, Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander tweeted: “I certified the presidential preference primary”. Rubio’s three delegates will probably be released.

If no candidate gets the 1,237 delegates required to clinch the GOP nomination, the convention in Cleveland could require multiple ballots.

The only difference this year is that Colorado abandoned its straw poll.

“A lot of this political knife-fighting you see on the ground may prove to be unproductive”, Andrew Boucher, a delegate strategist for Kasich, said of the other campaigns.

The Monmouth University Poll of Maryland Republicans found that although Trump has a dominant lead in the state’s primary (47%-27% over John Kasich), 11% of Republicans stated that they would support Hillary Clinton in the general election if Donald Trump is the Republican nominee.

This tally got The Donald mad, as he was clearly out-gamed.

Trump has been railing against the GOP caucus in Colorado, claiming that the system is rigged and that Cruz stole the election from him. It’s crooked, ‘ Trump declared on Fox and Friends Monday morning. “And I think that feeds into the narrative it’s going to only embolden Trump’s supporters, and it’s making Cruz come off as less likeable than he already is”.

Trump’s real competition for the nomination is Texas Sen.

Trump spent the last two days complaining that he’s being robbed because of these rules.

Mr Trump has now accused Republican boss Reince Priebus of playing dirty, saying he should be ashamed of himself. It’s the responsibility of the campaigns to understand it. Complaints now? “Give us all a break”.
