Will Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen reprise their role in “Fuller House”?

“We shot our first episode this past week”, Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer confirmed at the Television Critics Association fall previews on Tuesday.

But just because the Olsen twins won’t be starring as series regulars alongside their “Full House” cast mates (John Stamos, Bob Saget, Candace Cameron Bure and Jodi Sweetin) in the upcoming series doesn’t mean the child stars can’t make an appearance here and there on “Fuller House”.

Netflix is still bullish on its four-film deal with Adam Sandler despite the soft opening of his latest theatrical film, Pixels, Sarandos said, adding that Sandler’s appeal is very strong internationally.

“When the cast shows up on stage, the audience reacts immediately and the actors have fallen right back into those role”, he said. “I appreciate their support and good wishes towards Fuller House“.

During the TCA panel, the Netflix boss also elaborated on reason they wanted to bring “Fuller House” to life. Actually, he said the duo “are teetering on whether or not they’ll be around” for the 13-episode series, which will hit the site in 2016.
