To secure the Republican party nomination, 1,237 delegates are needed. You know why they changed the rules?

NY uses a complicated electoral system in which a candidate must win an overall majority of votes statewide as well as in each of the state’s congressional districts to walk away with all of its 95 delegates.

Speaking of Maryland, the White House intervened in the state’s competitive Democratic Senate primary after Rep. Donna Edwards’ super PAC launched a misleading ad featuring President Obama.

“The idea that this is going to turn on the eight-state rule is putting the emphasis on the wrong syllable”, said Tom Rath, a New Hampshire-based adviser.

Haughland’s interpretation is by no means a unanimous view. In the Republican primary polls, Trump and rival Texas Senator Ted Cruz were neck-and-neck, as were Clinton and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders in the Democratic contest. Many Congress members had backed other Republican presidential candidates who have since abandoned the race.

Another of Haughland’s points is indisputable: “When the convention convenes”, he said, “the delegates adopt their own rules, which haven’t been adopted yet”.

“The Indiana State Police has completed a review of messages alleged to have been threatening toward some Indiana delegates that will be attending the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio”. Kasich’s campaign knows it’s been out-organized by Cruz, partly because the governor lacked the money to build a large-scale delegate operation until after Ohio.

In the final tally, Trump pipped Cruz by just 0.2 percentage points – 40.9 per cent to Cruz’s 40.7.

The list of Louisiana GOP delegates and the candidates their supporting as they head to Cleveland for the Republican National Convention in July.

“I’m a Trump supporter”, said Michael, 50, who said he works in private equity and did not want to give his last name. But they are pulling out together the, I think candidate, the families made a big difference.

A total of 31 statewide delegates will be chosen in June at the state party’s convention in Augusta.

“Trump” then offers to help prepare Cruz for his appearance on the Tonight Show, which he admits is “very generous”, adding “I appreciate you being the bigger man”.
