Ronaldo delighted after hat-trick heroics
The German outfit went into the quarter-final second leg at the Bernabeu with a two-goal advantage but inspired by a hat-trick from Ronaldo, Madrid roared back to claim their place in a sixth successive semi-final.

Real Madrid overcame a first-leg deficit as Cristiano Ronaldo’s hat trick ousted Wolfsburg from the Champions League.
The 31-year-old reckoned he had just about a “perfect, magical night” as he scored a stunning hat-trick to complete a famous “remontada” (comeback) as Real Madrid beat Wolfsburg 3-2 on aggregate.
“It had to be a magic night and it was”, Ronaldo said.
But despite his side being on course to seal a memorable win, Zidane was clearly still feeling the pressure as the game approached its end which was exemplified by his passionate reaction to Real missing a chance to score in the 80th minute. It was a special night and we achieved what we were looking for. “I’m very happy. This is what we have been working hard for”, he commented, adding that he would like to face Portuguese side, Benfica in the semi-finals. “To win the Champions League you have to play against the best and we were up against one of those, a favourite”, Aguero said.
And the club’s all-time leading goalscorer believes his latest feat is the ideal riposte to those who had suggested he was below his best earlier in the season, including a small number of supporters who jeered him during the home defeat to Atletico Madrid in February.
Big players rise to the big occasions and when they needed him he delivered.
“Of course, Zidane was a great player and now he’s a great Coach for us”, he said of the trainer.
“We controlled the game. We had promised the fans and they deserve it”, Ramos told beIN Sport.
Here’s some of Cristiano Ronaldo’s best skills and goals in a Real Madrid shirt.

Having scored sixteen goals in the top UEFA club competition this season, he needs just two more to break his own record set two years ago. I always give of my best, those who work with me know that, and the stats don’t lie.
