He said Trump is his third choice and he’s leaning toward John Kasich.

“It is freaky”, said Cruz.
Ed Brookover met with about a half dozen Republicans from the House of Representatives in a private meeting at the Capitol Hill Club, the first of what Rep. Lou Barletta, R-Pa., said will be weekly sessions with the Trump team in Washington.
Fallon reprised his famous Donald Trump impression for a mock phone call to Ted Cruz, who was in the studio for an interview with the comedian later in the episode as Cruz continues to campaign for next week’s NY primary. But like Trump, Collins doesn’t have to think they are fair. Cruz also faces less intense dislike, as only 33% check “strongly unfavorable”.
“This other notion that if you get the most delegates, even though you didn’t get the magic number, that you should be awarded the nomination”. But Trump has still blasted the system as “rigged” and implied that Cruz’s campaign had offered “goodies” to woo Colorado delegates.
Trump has been complaining loudly about the way he was shut out of the Colorado contest, where Cruz, who organized early, won all the delegates.
A top Donald Trump adviser says the businessman is on a “glide path” to reaching the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination.
First of all, Republicans are slightly more likely to say that they would support Trump’s nomination “enthusiastically” than they were last month.
He said the new rules are beneficial for upstate voters, and that Cruz is working to get a vote in any corner of the state he can.
Trump also is leading in his home state of NY for the Republican primary.
Meanwhile, he admits Trump has lost some of his luster since the IL primary, saying he hit below the belt when he went after Cruz’s wife. “In our darkest moments, as a city, we showed the world the very, very best in terms of bravery and heart and soul that we have in America”, Trump said. “I’m in this for the purposes of promoting myself and my ideas”, he said. “We’ve never been in play”, said veteran Harrisburg-based Republican consultant Christopher Nicholas.

Tony Samuel, vice chairman of Trump’s IN campaign, said that the campaign doesn’t know the loyalties of numerous delegates but several names on the list are people who have said they’re against Trump becoming the nominee.
