Students at Kennedy Elementary School in Green Bay walked out of their classrooms and into hallways and bathrooms during the 1:45 p.m. drill.
It may have been a attractive day outside Thursday, but people all across the State of Wisconsin practiced what to do on a very stormy day.
The National Weather Service will issue a simulated tornado warning at 1:45 p.m.in Minnesota and Wisconsin, at which point most cities and counties will sound their warning sirens.
“If you take it seriously then you’ll know what to do and you won’t get hurt if the tornado actually happened”, 5th Grader Claire Hinker said.

Heads up: The sirens Hennepin County residents will hear Thursday afternoon and evening won’t be due to a malfunction. The safest spot will be a basement, but if no basement is available, a ground floor room is the next safest area. An “end of test” message will be issued by the weather service at 2 p.m. Sirens will go off in all 87 counties.
