Coachella Festival runs at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California this weekend (April 15-17) and returns next weekend (April 22-24). LCD Soundsystem’s big festival return scheduled to kick off 4.10pm on Saturday afternoon Australian Eastern Standard Time, while Guns N’ Roses will take to the stage at Coachella on Saturday night, which is Sunday afternoon at 3.30pm AEST. I chatted with New York-based trainer Jason Tran, and he put together a Coachella-themed playlist to ease the pain of not actually being there.

Ice Cube will open for Guns N’ Roses on Saturday, but let’s hope the original gangster doesn’t get drowned out by Zedd, who will unpack swelling beats in the nearby Outdoor Theatre in the middle of Cube’s 55-minute set.
One quick, early observation: A lot of hip-hop acts will anchor the Sahara tent. Expect to see performances by DJ Mustard, G-Eazy, Rae Sremmurd, Skepta, and Vince Staples. There’s speculation Swift will be at Coachella for the very first time to watch Harris perform and possibly collaborate with him. The schedule of what artists will participate in the live stream hasn’t been announced yet.
