The film sees Randeep Hooda in the title-role with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Dalbir Kaur and Richa Chadda as Sarabjit’s wife doing justice to the characters they portray.

It will be quite a complicated situation when Aishwarya Rai’s Sarbjit releases on May 20 because locking horns with the movie would be Amitabh Bachchan’s TE3N.
Aishwarya outclasses the others and attracts most attention and praise in her bespectacled minimal make-up look.
When asked by journalists about Panama Papers leaks, Aishwaryas co-star Randeep Hooda immediately said, “Sarbjit Sarbjit”.
The “Highway” actor is apparently affected after essaying the role of the late Indian prisoner Sarabjit, who was convicted on charges of spying and terrorism in Pakistan. Based on a true story, the film Sarbjit trailer is out on YouTube and soon after the trailer launch, there is complete appreciations by the social media users for the makers.
She had said, “It is a subject which we are all very familiar with. I thank Omung and the entire team for coming up with this script to me”.
Taking off with Dalbir and her family in their happier times and in flashes a bruised Randeep Hooda being beaten up in jail, the trailer sets a soul stirring mood from start.
The former Miss World added that “history can not go unknown” and revealed some details about her character. The narrative of the film is what made me say “yes” to it. Just imagine a woman fighting for 23 years to get her brother back.
“I have not spent time with her before the film”. This story needed to be told.
