“I enjoyed America, but now I can get used to the English games because over in England it’s a different pace, and we even noticed that playing against a team two divisions below”, he said.
A familiar face and a familiar style of play were what persuaded Georginio Wijnaldum to join Newcastle United. The defender missed the clash at Bramall Lane through injury and has been linked with a reunion with former manager Alan Pardew at Crystal Palace. The Premier League continues to attract some of the best players in the world and we expect them to click right from the first game.
“I’ve come in and been told to assess the squad, and I’ve been delighted with Colo’s attitude”, said McClaren. We remember how Southampton have done under Koeman or how Stoke City has grown and signed Krkic last season to play for them.
“So far as I am concerned, I want him out on the pitch in a Newcastle shirt playing for the team, and I’m confident he will be with us at the start of the season”. We’re training hard to get ready for the start of the season. I didn’t know a lot about the club but I’ve spoken over a lot of years with Tim [Krul] and that’s why I chose Newcastle.
However, Sheffield United claimed a deserved draw when full-back Kieron Freeman smashed home a superb long-range volley.
But Newcastle, it seems, could be willing to listen to offers for Coloccini, who has served the club for the past seven years.
