Angels load up in outfield, acquire David Murphy from Indians and David

While he’s not an impact starter on his own, in conjunction with Victorino and Murphy he’ll give the Angels another nice option to rotate into the lineup. DeJesus, 35, is a solid addition for the club.

Angels left fielders this season have hit just.212/.277/.312 with five home runs in 98 games.

Stamets, 23, is a Dublin, Ohio native who played baseball at the University of Evansville before being drafted by the Angels in the 6th Round of the 2012 MLB Draft. His career numbers aren’t spectacular (.276, 99 HR, 569 RBIs), but his defense in left field will be coveted.

Lopez appeared in eight games for the Angels’ rookie-league affiliate in Orem, Utah.

Rumors claim the Angels will still hunt for pitching help, but whether they’re able to produce many more prospects remains to be seen. David Price isn’t moving, and Cole Hamels may be shipped to Texas by Wednesday according to rumors.
