“On the other hand, if either Mr. Cruz or Mr. Kasich decides to become inactive, if you will, after NY, then I think it’s likely we get to a contested convention”.

Trump also suffered a big loss in Colorado, where Ted Cruz was able to snag all of the state’s delegates with a more organized showing at the state’s convention. He was simply heeding the same advice that he gave to his fellow Republicans in a controversial speech last month, sharply criticizing Trump and urging them vote for whichever candidate in their state had the best chance to beat the billionaire.

As of today, ABC News estimates that Clinton has a total of 1,758 delegates and Sanders has a total 1,076 delegates.
