Front-runner Donald Trump’s campaign didn’t dispute the amount of support Kasich has among Indiana’s delegates but told IndyStar.com it shows that Indiana’s delegate selection process is flawed.

Former New Hampshire Governor John Sununu appeared on Fox News on Monday morning to discuss the latest news about the ongoing race to secure the needed 1,237 delegates to win the Republican Party presidential nomination.

Trump tweeted on his official account that “Lyin’ Ted Cruz can’t get votes (I am millions ahead of him) so he has to get his delegates from the Republican bosses”.

Trump and Cruz have focused on attacking each other in recent weeks, with Trump employing the moniker “lyin’ Ted” nearly every time he talks about the Texas senator. Senator Lindsey Graham infamously described a choice between Trump and Cruz this way: “It’s like being shot or poisoned”.

“I have zero interest whatsoever”, Cruz said. However, Graham ended up reluctantly throwing his weight behind Cruz as the lesser of two evils. “There are a lot of reasons, but perhaps the simplest is that if Donald is the nominee, Hillary [Clinton] wins”. “I did not endorse Donald Trump”.

As a further complication, the ballot does not indicate whom a delegate plans to support, meaning voters hoping to back Mr. Trump, Mr. Cruz or Mr. Kasich will have to figure it out for themselves.

“If you look at what’s going on at the state level, all the congressional conventions have met in SC and Cruz people have done very well”, he said. “I actually voted by absentee ballot for John Kasich”.

Those delegates assigned to Trump are bound to vote for him only during the first round of voting for the presidential nomination in Cleveland, Ohio this summer.

“They’re going to move elsewhere, and there’s nothing Trump can really do about that”, said Josh Putnam, a political scientist at the University of Georgia who tracks the nominating process.

The Colorado rules Trump complains about were adopted last August and available online in September.

However, numerous delegates elected across the state this weekend are open about their support of Cruz.

At the Wyoming state convention on April 16th, Donald Trump failed to pick up a single delegate of the 14 that were up for grabs.
