Netflix teases Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Defenders at TCAs
During the Netflix session with TCA, Ted Sarandos also indicated that they are planning to release a new Marvel series after every six months.

We hope the next Netflix Marvel series will be of the same quality and consistency of Daredevil, and we’re especially excited about Luke Cage, one of my favorite Marvel comics from the ’70’s, and Iron Fist. In addition to the planned Defenders miniseries, Marvel/Netflix has already announced a second season of Daredevil, featuring Jon Bernthal as the antagonist in an arc the showrunner calls “Daredevil vs. Punisher”.
After some tantalising backwards and forwards on when it would arrive, Netflix has confirmed that Marvel’s Jessica Jones is coming later this year. The good news is that the Daredevil season 2 Punisher may be the closest to the comics version we’ve seen on screen.
Most of the show’s original cast has returned for Fuller House and the series, which follows a recently widowed adult DJ Tanner, is “very much in the same spirit… but a modern take on Full House”, said Sarandos.
Move over Daredevil, because The Punisher may just be getting his own show. That’s the beauty of the Marvel universe…

“Some will selectively have multiple seasons as they come out of the gate”, Sarandos said. “The cadence of it, though, will probably be about two launches a year”. “Any of them could spin out into films too”. “Ideally there will be a rhythm of every six months you’ll get a new series from the Defender group”, said Sarandos. The book “reveals the details of the set and script of “Marvel’s AKA Jessica Jones” through the eyes of its makers”, according to the summary. However, Sarandos said announcements would be made “Hopefully soon”.
