Captain Morgan sends Leicester seven points clear in EPL

Hodgson says that Leicester’s drive to the title shows that clubs do not have to rely on the transfer market for success, nor do they need to buy into the hysteria of deadline day.

LEICESTER City picked up only their second victory at the Boleyn Ground in 48 years when Claudio Ranieri’s side won 2-1 at West Ham back in August. I feel for him, although it was not a penalty. We must believe every time.

“Psychologically it’s fantastic. It’s more important than one point”.

“The challenge is big because seven points is a big gap, but to keep fighting in the way that we have fought and in the end win the title, all the people would recognise our value”.

The Irons defender was hugely impressed by City early on.

Alexis Sanchez headed Arsenal ahead just before halftime. When I was there it was occasionally winning cups, but to win the league is phenomenal for the whole city.

Liverpool, which is eighth in the Premier League, followed up its midweek quarterfinal win over Borussia Dortmund by beating Bournemouth 2-1.

Spurs still have trips to face Stoke, Chelsea and struggling Newcastle, but Leicester will be guaranteed the title if they win four of their last six fixtures, which include home games against West Ham, Swansea and Everton. “I love the Champions League music!” The next target is securing a place in the Champions League group stages.

Mahrez quickly shifted possession onto N’Golo Kante and, with West Ham left hopelessly out of position by the speed of the break, the France midfielder measured a pass to Vardy, who took one touch just inside the penalty area before driving into the far corner for his 22nd league goal. Moss decided that Vardy had dived and brandished that second yellow card.

“Both the player and the club have until 6pm on Thursday 21 April 2016 to reply to their charge”.

Thundering into tackles and moving the ball at breakneck speed, Leicester embarked on a blistering counter to take the lead in the 18th minute.

Leicester clung on for more than 30 minutes to protect its lead until the 84th when Andy Carroll netted from the spot after home captain Wes Morgan shoved Winston Reid over.

Referee Jonathan Moss’s decision to give Vardy, who had opened the scoring in the first half, a second booking incensed the Leicester fans and they were even more irate when he awarded West Ham the penalty that Carroll converted to equalise.
