With Hillary Clinton in California, Bernie Sanders goes up on TV

A Saturday night fundraiser in Los Angeles for Clinton was to be hosted by Clooney and his wife, too, Variety reported.
According to political reporter Tina Daunt, the $27-per-person event was dubbed the “99% Party”, and hosted by Howard Gold, the man whose family established the 99 Cents Only franchise.
A co-host of the shindig tonight at the Clooneys, Katzenberg also invited along fellow co-hosts Haim and Cheryl Saban, and Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw.
Clinton’s event raised money for the Hillary Victory Fund and guests paid minimums of $33,400 to attend.
In his interview with Todd, Clooney also acknowledged that Vermont Sen.
Bernie Sanders, will address supporters at a community college here.
“Yes. I think it’s an obscene amount of money”.

In Los Angeles, Clinton challenged Sanders on gun control, an issue that is a key part of her argument against him in the NY primary and is likely to play a role in the California primary on June 7. The odd number is representative to the average amount of contributions to his campaign, Sanders has said.
