Nexon is Bringing a Free-to-Play Titanfall to China
It’s also worth noting that this doesn’t interfere with any projects that Respawn is now developing like Titanfall 2.

The game is intended for release in Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Southeast Asia (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam).
Electronic Arts has announced that it is partnering with Nexon, which recently worked with Splash Damage on Dirty Bomb, to create a free to play version of Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall for Asia. It looks like Respawn Entertainment has no involvement on this free to play version of the game.

Details on how “Titanfall Online” will function are sparse at the moment, but it will most likely feature the same mixture of on-foot and mech-based combat that separated the original “Titanfall” from the usual shooter pack. Nexon also pioneered the concept of microtransactions and the free-to-play business model, setting a new standard in which play is free, and users have the option to purchase in-game items to enhance their experience. This time it’s EA’s parkour infused, bot battler, Titanfall. The in-development sequel will be coming to Xbox platforms, PC and PlayStation platforms at an unconfirmed future date.
