‘Mr. Robot’ Season 2 Hacks Out a July Premiere, First Official Footage

USA Network has announced the second season of its hacker drama “Mr. Robot” will premiere July 13. There is no much information on the plot but the trailer hints of our noble hackers will be waging a war against someone in politics, rather than our old friends Evil Corp.

The show, which also stars Christian Slater in the title role (well, it’s complicated, we’ll suggest that you binge watch season 1 at your earliest connivence) announced, via this teaser, that season 2 starts on July 13. “In the first season, because Elliot wasn’t aware, there was a mystery about who Mr. Robot was and what his real motivations were”.

Series creator and showrunner Sam Esmail recently outlined the mental state of our lead character ahead of season 2’s arrival, revealing just how deeply last year’s finale impacted Elliot’s grip on reality. Alderson who constantly struggles with social anxiety disorder and social anxiety, connects to people by hacking them. Still a pretty cool return to the moody tone and atmosphere of Mr. Robot.

New recurring guest stars in season two include Craig Robinson, hip hop artist Joey Bada$$, Sandrine Holt, Michael Maize, Dorothi Fox and Luke Robertson. This is why it took so long to learn the truth about Mr. Robot and fsociety, and why some of the events at the end of the season are even more jarring.
