The Division Servers Down, Falcon Lost Exploit Fixes Incoming

This latest exploit comes just days after Ubisoft fixed an exploit that allowed players to cruise through the game’s new Incursion encounter Falcon Lost.

Incursions were planned to fill players’ time for weeks to come because, while they can be played repeatedly, they only dish out loot rewards once a week. However, a solution has now been implemented that should put a stop to this. The biggest bug fix removed the ability for players to incorrectly apply damage to the the Falcon Lost Incursion’s APC boss.

Players have not exactly taken kindly to the looming threat of punishments, with some indicating that it isn’t their fault that “The Division” possesses such a game-breaking exploit.

And the fact that players have already profited from the exploits – earning months’ worth of staggered rewards in hours – still remains.

The more switching between weapons, the higher the damage.

Since shortly after The Division launched, players have been using the double revive glitch to their advantage.

Ubisoft mentions that partaking in the exploit violates the code of conduct and that the company is “looking into what can be done in terms of punishment for those who have exploited”, reports Destructoid.

This week’s Incursions update to The Division brought many changes to the game, including Falcon Lost – the most hard mission to date. You won’t be able to play the game until it is finished.

“I’m glad to see you are fixing the exploit, but seriously upset because you are actually blaming U.S. for your badly coded game”, one poster wrote. And if it works in PvP, more players will surely avoid the Dark Zone until a patch has been deployed yet again. Bottom line: “if you don’t want people doing something in your game, design your code so it’s not possible”. Of course, that was the least of their problems, and they released a patch today to address two other major issues with the game. Balance issues will always be prevalent in new games, especially ones with as many moving parts as this one, but at some point you have to wonder when too much is to much.
