There are things to do and things not to do when it comes to being a good steward of our planet, but one of the best may be to take pleasure in the true beauty of the Earth’s ecosystems and its creatures.

We are now entering 46th year of a movement that continue to inspire, challenge ideas, ignite passion and motivate people to action.
With the theme “Trees for the Earth”, Earth Day 2016 is urging people to go beyond participating events and taking a stand. There are many campaigns and movements for the planet earth.
But the most important event on this year’s Earth Day will undoubtedly be the signing of the Paris climate deal. This movement had a profound impact on everyone and had also achieved a rare political alignment in the United States. This signing satisfies a key requirement for the entry into force of the historic draft climate protection treaty adopted by consensus of the 195 nations present at the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris.
French President Francois Hollande and Canada’s Justin Trudeau will join US Secretary of State John Kerry for the ceremony attended by more than 165 governments, the largest ever one-day signing of an worldwide agreement. First of all, not all of the agreement is legally binding and this is highly problematic because future governments of the signatory countries could renege on their commitments hence reversing progress on the United Nations deal. In 2012 in China, 100,000 people rode their bikes to help decrease Carbon dioxide emissions and save fuel, according to chinadaily.com.
Secondly, there are concerns from the developing countries that the funds provided are not enough to protect them from climate change effects and enable them to shift to using renewable sources of energy.
