The spokesperson told NBC affiliate WLWT-TV that there were multiple fatalities at a home on Union Hill Road.
All Adams County Ohio Valley Schools are on lockdown, meaning no one is allowed in or out, school officials said. According to the Associated Press, Pike County Sheriff’s investigators were called to the scene at about 8:20 a.m.
The mass murder occurred Friday at a home in the city of Peebles, around 70 miles (113 km) east of Cincinnati.
