What’s more, Zayn has left Modest Management who he was with during his One Direction days, and is now seeking new management for the next phase of his career.
Malay, 36, is credited with contributing heavily on Ocean’s Grammy-winning 2012 debut album Channel Orange, as well as producing Keys’ critically-acclaimed single Girl On Fire.
The producer also retweeted a blurry, cryptic pic Zayn tweeted inside a recording studio, further fueling collaboration rumors.
We’re eagerly awaiting when Zayn Malik finally releases his own solo material – and producer Malay has just confirmed the pair have been working together.
Directioners, it seems Zayn is in safe hands then!
In the harsh message, which has been retweeted over 500,000 times, he wrote: “you fat joke stop pretending we’re friends no one knows you”.
For those who couldn’t grab a listen, the song is reported to sound like a heartfelt folk song where Zayn uses his pipes over a soft acoustic guitar.
“He’s writing, himself, on it as well”. I think it’ll all make sense soon.
