Boston Celtics: Jae Crowder Needs To Step Up

Throughout the season, Hawks fans have learned one thing: as Jeff Teague goes, so do the Hawks.

Al Horford has done most of the heavy lifting offensively for Atlanta in the series averaging 20.5 points while shooting 50 percent from the field.

The Celtics have started Turner to open the second half of each of the first two games and the thin guard depth didn’t deter Stevens from that small-ball lineup to open the second half of Game 2. In the said game, the Hawks were also successful in preventing the Celtics from making scoring runs, holding them to a mere 31.8% field goal shooting.

Evan Turner enjoyed extra playing time and finished with 12 points, five rebounds and three assists but there’s no doubt that the Celtics were missing their backcourt combination of Thomas with Bradley on offense, but the bad news is that Bradley is expected to miss the remainder of the series with a hamstring injury.

For Hunter who missed all three of his shot attempts but did manage to block one shot, there were plenty of teachable moments that should help him better prepare for Game 3. “So I would say that it’s still unlikely early in that situation, but possibly in the days that go on after that”. We just put too much pressure on ourselves to make ss later because every one of them mattered so much, just to have a chance to get back in the game. “Hopefully in Game 3, the baskets are bigger in the Boston Garden”. Thomas is averaging 21.5 points through two games, but he has done it very inefficiently, as he is shooting just 33 percent from the floor.

Amir Johnson added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Celtics. Each team turned it over 10 times in the second quarter. These are only a few ways to describe the Boston Celtics one week into the start of the 2016 National Basketball Association playoffs.

“I’m always ready. I don’t care if that’s starting or coming off the bench first or coming off the eighth man, ninth man. No matter what it is, I’m ready for whatever”.

That meant making winning more of a priority than developing young talent.

It was clear Stevens was not going to give anything away, and, really, there is no reason for him to provide Atlanta any extra intelligence leading up to this critical game.

A Marcus Smart injury back in November kept the 6-foot-4 guard out for 18 games. They’re a heck of a defensive team, not only with their athleticism and their coverages, but with their savvy and understanding. We had some really good moments in those games, so we have to bottle those up more often than not.

Asked if Bradley might be able to return in the next round should the Celts stage a comeback against the Hawks, he said, “They talk about toward the end of this series he should be to the point where he’s able to do a little bit more from a practice standpoint and those type of things. In our case, middle of the playoffs”.
