Vardy absence a blow for Leicester, says Pochettino
Ranieri will be without Jamie Vardy for that game, following the striker’s controversial dismissal against West Ham United last Sunday, but the Leicester manager was reluctant to wade into the English Football Association’s decision to charge the striker with improper conduct. “I said to my players, ‘now is the right moment to push to the end'”.

The manager will not however comment much on Chelsea’s technical director Mike Emenalo’s assessment of Pochettino’s record of youth development.
Claudio Ranieri shed his coy and cautious demeanor on Friday to flaunt his euphoria about Leicester being on the brink of the Premier League title in the most stunning season in the club’s 132-year history. “We await the outcome of the FA’s disciplinary process”, read a Leicester statement. Vardy was incensed with referee Jon Moss and angrily shouted at the official before leaving the pitch.Vardy has requested a personal hearing, and will be hoping to avoid a further ban with Leicester only four games away from clinching the Premier League title.
“He is my friend but I want us to win even if it makes it harder for them to win the title”.
“Vardy is an important player for them, a fantastic striker this season”, said Guidolin. If we fight and we win then ok. “They deserve full credit for the season, for the position that we are in”. This year it is dominated by two of the real contenders for the league title this year, Tottenham and Leicester. The team of the year may be hotly contested among fans every year but it is clear that they reward success above all.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men now sit in second place, only five points behind Leicester City who lead. “I feel that maybe we’ve anxious them [Chelsea] a lot, more than we believe”.
“We have built up the week in a fantastic way and now we need to be patient and wait for Monday”, he said.
Spurs’ breakout star Dele Alli and Leicester revelation N’Golo Kante form the core of the midfield, with the Foxes’ forward Riyad Mahrez and free-kick specialist Payet playing out wide.
On Sunday April 24, and the 43rd PFA Awards which will be held at Grosvenor House in London, the Player and Young Player of the Year Awards will be announced.
