The first trailer for Woody Allen’s Cafe Society, which will be the opening film at the Cannes Film Festival in May, has debuted, throwing viewers back into 1930s Hollywood. Sari Lennick (A Serious Man), and Paul Schneider (Water for Elephants).
Among the producers attached to the project are Stephen Tenenbaum, who worked on Allen’s 2011 film Midnight in Paris, and Letty Aronson, Allen’s younger sister and To Rome With Love co-producer. Executive producers are Ronald L. Chez, Adam B. Stern and Allan Teh.
Cafe Society released a first trailer starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart on Thursday.
See enough Woody Allen movies and you realize he only has like eight different stories and themes and he just mixes and matches them.

“It’s more a coincidence than anything else”, Eisenberg said of working with Stewart to Movie Network in March.
