Prince William’s father, Prince Charles, visited the same spot during his trip to Bhutan in 1998.
Prince William and wife Kate touched down at Bhutan’s only global airport, nestled deep in a river valley, to be welcomed by members of the royal family and receive flowers from a boy and girl wearing traditional dress.
Bhutanese archers must aim at very small, brightly decorated wooden targets positioned 145 metres away from where they are standing. “Two children and five years later, we have finally made it”. Kate eventually settled on purchasing a pair of dangly earrings in dark blue for 500 rupees.
