The next Borderlands would be the third game in the franchise from Gearbox, as the Pre-Sequel was created by 2K Australia.

What changes and improvements would you guys want to see in Borderlands 3? Borderlands 3 has been rumored for a while and it was officially confirmed by Gearbox President Randy Pitchford in a PAX East panel attended by Eurogamer.

While it was inevitable that a new Borderlands game would be on its way at some point in the near future, this is the first confirmation we’ve received that Gearbox has a timeline regarding when it will start developing the game.

“I did this whole Scooter thing, then I pitch-shifted it up like seven semitones so it sounds like a chipmunk and it was the funniest thing I’d ever heard”, said Neumann.

“It’s no secret, obviously there’s going to be another Borderlands”, confirmed Pitchford at the Battleborn PAX East panel.

No release date, no platforms, but hey, at least they’re working on it.

While it’s still too early to see any footage or art from the upcoming game, those wanting to get their Borderlands fix can do so by combing through Battleborn’s upcoming DLC, which will contain a number of Easter eggs pertaining to Borderlands 3.

The current plan is to wrap up production on Battleborn and the subsequent DLC for the multiplayer class-battler, which could contain some easter eggs for Borderlands 3.
